I feel like blogging but I really have nothing exciting to share.
It is a problem.
My life is pretty boring actually, also there are a lot of other more interesting things out there to read. I have been enjoying the blogs of others and felt greedy, I take joy from their musings and yet I have no joy to return.

Once again we are back to the problem, nothing to really talk about. :O
Oh dear.

Here is food for thought, soon I will have reached the ripe old age of nineteen. NINETEEN!!!!!!!!
It seems unbelievable to me, but I have always felt older than I am. Even as a child I would often sit and listen to the adults stories instead of running around. I always would rather listen then talk, write instead of speak, and observe instead of experience. I feel I indeed have an old soul.

Not many people truly know me, and I can't really say I know a lot of people. The saying you have to give to receive applies here. I do not let people in easily and so i can not expect them to do the same for me. I am a social person and like to be around people but I am a listener not a talker. I like to observe and have a pretty good memory for faces and personalities.

I am not exceptionally funny my humor is dry and far between. I dislike the way my laugh sounds and the way my teeth look when I am laughing. Getting older makes you think about the person you are, the person you want to be, and the person other people think you are.

This post feels melancholy.

The doldrums

I have been caught up in the doldrums, this weekend has turned me into a Lethargarian.
For those who don't know what I am talking about please refer to the Phantom Tollbooth.
It seems the only thing I want to do is nothing.
I need the watchdog to come and save me.

Happiness is when a show ends! Footloose is finally over! Thanksgiving is just around the corner and life is good. Sorry about the "I" post, not sure how that happened.

Um what the heck Peter?!

Dear Peter Pan,
I did not get my Hogwarts letter and the back of my wardrobe still will not open and take me to Narnia. As the chairman of staying young forever I have to say you are doing a lousy job! Seriously is there a key I am missing? Get with the program Mr. Pan! Time is wasting! I am after all eighteen and such. Maybe you should not have put the lost boys in charge of paperwork, and keys to Narnia must be awfully hard to carry if you are a fairy. Give Tinkerbell a break and just mail it to me.

Retail

Today while standing in a line at Lowes, I was slightly irritated by the behavior of a fellow customer. I was probably the third person in line and there was probably two more people behind me. The girl at the register was looking a little overwhelmed and had already used the intercom to call another cashier to the front to help. Yes I know long lines are not fun, and yes sometimes you may be in a hurry. But sometimes you need to remember the rules of common courtesy, unfortunately the women behind me did not. We had been waiting for 3-4 minutes tops, and this women got out of line marched up to the poor cashier and demanded that she open another line immediately!!!!!!!!!!

Being a person who works in retail and has been in a situation where despite the fact that someone is being a complete jerk to you, you must apologize for the inconvenience, I felt for the poor girl. The women continued to sigh and glare at the girl until another person showed up to help.

Yes while there are situation where workers are acting lazy and rude, but we must always remember our manners and be as patient as possible. Everyone should have a job in retail at one point in their lives, only then can a person understand the long hours, the aching feet, and the desperate wishes that the problem customer will just leave.
So next time dear impatient Lowes women, please just wait and if you really need to have a sprinkler head by 6 o'clock then come earlier, if you don't, then leave and come back another time when you can be more patient.
